The Logistical Puzzle of Church Pew Removal
The sheer physical scale of the 12,000-square-foot church sanctuary was only the first layer of complexity facing our project managers. The main congregation floor was tightly packed with rows of heavy wooden pews that had to be completely unbolted, systematically categorized, and moved to secure storage. This entire operational sequence had to take place immediately following Sunday services, establishing a strict, countdown clock.
To streamline the committee's decision-making framework and handle diverse internal opinions, we assigned a specialized church designer to guide their board. The structure required comprehensive subfloor mitigation due to residual layers of old adhesive from decades past. Overlooking proper subfloor preparation would severely compromise the fresh chemical bond, making specialized moisture sealing an absolute priority.
